I use Yahoo's mail program and for your post (that I'm responding to now) it lists as Sender: ADavidhazy, and as Subject: same as above.
So I have no way of knowing that the post is from this list unless I recognize the sender's name or the topic. Since I usually get about 200 emails a day--I don't read 'em all---

Hmmm ... my mailbox lists incoming mail from the list as coming from
PhotoForum. I guess it can be configured so that the beginning of every
Subject: line would start with PhotoForum but am not sure this is really
necessary. But the suggestion box is open.
