Angi, You can bet that when it comes to selling her horse(s), she will get full price. I'd confront her and say " You received the profit for your work, why shouldn't I ?" Further, in the horse business I'd say she was making a few $ and could easily afford to work thru you. But then, I guess if you're cheap, then this argument doesn't float.
