Karl, THANKS for pointing out a concept that has been bothering me since high school chemistry when someone called H2O dihydrogen oxide. Since it ionizes to H+ and OH-, I always thought hydrogen hydroxide was a much better name. But, ya know, in general I think that all of us participating in this definition of "water" are just all wet. For myself, I'm going to go home, vaporize some water into something other than water (I'll call it steam), recondense it to water again over a bunch of ground coffee beans, collect the drippings, drink the resultant solution/oil mixture and then stay up all night worrying about this whole thing. Then tomorrow I am just going to forget we ever got into this conversation in the first place. peace, rand
