Not sure how you are doing the installs/removals.
If you are using GUI interface i.e Synaptic then search for postgres-xc
and then follow removal procedure.
If from the command line:
To get the name of the packages:
dpkg -l|grep postgres-xc
Then
sudo apt-get purge whatever_package_name
