Postgres DBA DevOps job in Atlanta

We are searching for a highly qualified Sr. Database Engineer to join one of our clients in Atlanta, GA. As part of a modern DevOps team, you will be responsible for adding new features and scalability to database infrastructure in a Postgres shop.

What you will do:

  • Support and expand database infrastructure in a multi-node Citus DB cluster environment with PostgreSQL and Redis.
  • Design logical and physical database schemas
  • Be a stickler about proper monitoring and performance tools
  • Be the company's SME for Postgres
  • Explore and stay current with new open-source database technologies

What you have:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a database engineer or DBA.
  • Strong experience with open-source database administration to include the growth of architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of Postgres architecture

Additional bonus skills:

  • Datawarehouse/ETL concepts
  • Automation tool experience - Puppet/Chef/Ansible
  • Citus database experience.
