While this would be similiar to restrictions found earlier in
system-provided password checking code, the error "map not found"
seems a bit strange.  Are you sure about the interpretation that its a
permissions problem?

Sorry, but I don't know what could be done about this.  Maybe the
nisslave has a command-line setting or the like to prevent this
behaviour from happening?
