Pam without local useraccount

Hello!

I want to do authentication for squid via PAM. I'm using pam_auth
distributed by squid-2.3.
I'm using SuSE 7.2 (pam-0.74, kernel 2.4.4) and pam_radius-1.3.13.

My /etc/pam.d/squid:
auth required /lib/security/pam_radius_auth.so debug

/var/log/messages types the following:
Aug 15 22:12:36 proxy (pam_auth): pam_radius_auth: Got user name test
Aug 15 22:12:36 proxy (pam_auth): pam_radius_auth: Sending RADIUS
request code 1
Aug 15 22:12:36 proxy (pam_auth): pam_radius_auth: Got RADIUS response
code 2
Aug 15 22:12:36 proxy (pam_auth): pam_radius_auth: authentication
succeeded
Aug 15 22:12:36 proxy PAM-warn[543]: service: squid [on terminal:
<unknown>]
Aug 15 22:12:36 proxy PAM-warn[543]: user: (uid=31) -> test [remote:
?nobody@?nowhere]

"test" is the useraccount. Everything works fine, if there is a local
user account "test" in /etc/passwd. Without the useraccount, the logging
in /var/log/messages is the same, but the authentication fails.

What can I do?

Thanks
