-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, thank you very much for you reply. I think I've found the error. It seems, as if the pam_pwdb.so crashes the process. I still don't know how and why. It's PAM version 0.72-169 I changed the /etc/pam.d/httpd as follows auth required pam_warn.so auth required pam_permit.so auth required pam_warn.so Everything works fine. I get two logs in my /var/log/messages If it looks like auth required pam_warn.so auth required pam_pwdb.so auth required pam_warn.so it crashes and shows only one entry in the /var/log/messages. My /etc/pwdb.conf seems fine: user: unix+shadow nis+unix+shadow group: unix+shadow nis+unix+shadow Anybody got any ideas? Thanks a lot!
