I don't tink I need the openssl-dev package or something similar because I configured and build openssl-1.0.0t from source with no ./config parameters. Openssl was installed with make install at /usr/local/ssl/ which contains: bin certs include lib man misc openssl.cnf private After trousers didn't find the openssl installation I reconfigured the openssl source with ./config --prefix=/user && make install Greetings martin > To: openssl-users at openssl.org > From: jb-openssl at wisemo.com > Date: Mon, 5 Sep 2016 18:27:25 +0200 > Subject: Re: [openssl-users] Installed openssl isn't recognized by TrouSerS > > On 05/09/2016 17:57, .uservorname .usernachname wrote: > > Greetings, > > > > I configured and successfully installed openssl on my readynas duo > > machine (http://netgear.nas-central.org/wiki/Category:ReadyNasDUO ) > > > > However the software TrouSerS tell me to install openssl. > > > > nas-02-90-38:~# openssl version > > OpenSSL 1.0.0t 3 Dec 2015 > > nas-02-90-38:~# cd /media/trousers-0.3.13 > > nas-02-90-38:/media/trousers-0.3.13# ./configure > > ... > > Is it possible that openssl is installed but the function > > EVP_DigestUpdate in -lcrypto... is missing?
