Herbert, I was running into the same problem before when I was running 2.4.0b5 on FreeBSD 4.3. I don't know if it was coded wrong or the term is worded wrong but when you set your minFilesFreePercent to 8 percent the program is doing an expire once you have filled up 8% of your disk or is 92% free. I've been running my system with a 80% FilesFree and BlocksFree and it seems to be working okay. -Terry Yeung > -----Original Message----- > From: Herbert Broederbauer [mailto:broederh@aon.at] > Sent: Friday, August 03, 2001 2:38 AM > To: nntpcache-users@suburbia.net > Subject: NNTPC: maxArtAge Problem > > > > I'm currently testing nntpcache 2.4.0b5 on RH Linux 6.1. > > When I start nntpcached it says to the news.notice log: > Aug 3 11:18:12 lprx01 nntpcache-expire[28050]: expire.c:212: usedblocks = > 50.2%, usedinodes = 26.8%, maxArtAge = 46s, expire ended > > Expire then deletes my complete cache. > In nntpcache.config i use the following settings: > maxArtAge 2w > minFilesFreePercent 8 > minBlocksFreePercent 8 > > I don't understand why the cache isn't growing, but the maxArtAge from the > log look strange to me (46s ?). > > tia > herbert > >
