using snull

Hi,

I made some network changes in the kernel. I want to test with a
simple interface before I goto a real device driver - so I chose
snull. I was able to compile it and get it loading but I'm not sure
how to use it.

The book UTLK describes the driver and few commands but it doesnt
work. Is there any description or anyone who has used snull
succcessfully before.

For e.g. to configure network interfaces - one does "ifconfig sn0
local0" . How do I register sn0 as a snull network interface. Any
clues here?

Regards,
Asim
