gcc versions and ABI changes

Hi All,

I guess this question may not be relevant here, but no where i was able to find the answer, hope i will get from this mailing list.

I have program with some modules compiled with gcc-2.9x and other with gcc-3.4x. I wanted the program to work on glibc compiled with gcc -3.4x. Is this possible ?

My concern is over the ABI difference b/w different gcc versions.
i.e., will there be any difference in ABI w.r.t the GCC version (2.9x to 3.4x) ?

Also i found from eu-readelf that the binaries compiled with different gcc version's have different ABI version. Does this mean the change in ABI?

Thanking you
Regards
Ashok
