Yes, I intended it in this way, too. 
But I read some doubts [1] and somewhere i read that in 2.6.24-rc* there's 
some bug that make it less efficient than slab.

So, i wrote here to have some confirmation, or listen if someone knows more 
than me of the status of the slub system.
