Block Async I/O

hi list,

I am attempting to implement Block Async I/O described in this paper here:

http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~muthian/baio-hipc.pdf

As this is the only documentation available on this concept im having
a bit difficulty to find a starting point. I have done my homework of
reading on kernel hacking, linux internals , implementing a simple
filesystem (http://www.geocities.com/ravikiran_uvs/articles/rkfs.html),
etc etc

Could someone out here please guide me a bit. a few pointers, tips,
.....inspiration!

thanks
nirmal
