Use swap space. I did it, it works with 2.4.31 but it has frozen the
system with 2.6 kernel due to some kernel bug.
[root@axis /root]14430# cat /proc/swaps
Filename Type Size Used Priority
/dev/sda6 partition 56176 2768 -1
You have to: partition the flash, use mkswap (this can be done on a PC).
In the kernel for axis allow swapspace and in busybox configuration
switch on implementation of swapon. In boot scripts run the swapon
command. Only up to sda4 is created in /dev, edit the proper Makefile
if you need more partitions.

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to increase the amount of system memory
seen by my FOX board by using a USB pen drive. Of course I know the memory
time
access would be slower, but my only concern is to increase the RAM size
seen by my embedded system.
Does linux provide some mechanism to achieve this kind of configuration?
Thanks in advance
Salvo.
