Dear all.
i am new user of oprofiler.
i am configuring the oprofiler0.9.1 with 2.4.20 kernel.
i installed it and tried to use it for profiling.
but when i'm starting oprofiler daemon with commands
opcontrol --init
opcontrol --start
i am getting the error like as
Using 2.6+ Oprofile kernel interface.
op_read_int_from_file: Failed to open /dev/oprofile//pointr_size, reason No such file or directory
couldn't start oprofiled.
check the log file "/var/lib/oprofile/oprofiled.log" and kernel syslog.
i opened this file but there is nothing in that also.
please guide me where is the actual problem.
since i am using 2.4.20 kernel but as it showing Using 2.6+ oprofiler kernel interface,
so is there a problem in oprofiler using 2.6 interface
or some thing else.
Kindly help me out in this regard
