Hello,

when i restart the machine and give lsmod it does not give anything.

This is normal. If you don't list your module in /etc/modules, or in some /etc/modutils/ file, it won't be loaded automatically at boot or when you bring the network interface up.

Now after instaling network driver should i not be able to access my eth0 interface?

After inserting the module, do you see something in the kernel logs (dmesg command).

Others: is this question in the area covered by the list ? Isn't the list dedicated to kernel programming questions and answers ?
