hello all!!

I have 2.4.30 kernel on a mandrake 9.1 machine.

I have Intel gigabyte chipset motherboard with on board LAN.
The nework driver is Broadcom 5780.

During installation mandrake 9.1 was unable to detect my network card.
Later I downloaded driver from broadcom site and installed it.
The driver is installed as a module bcm5700.o

in lsmod i can see the driver.
but it shows bcm5700.o unused.

when i restart the machine and give lsmod it does not give anything.

Now after instaling network driver should i not be able to access my eth0 interface?

#ifconfig shows only loopback interface in the list.
