linux routing table

Hello there,

I have a specific question on Linux routing tables.

The linux maintains two fib_table pointers main_table
and local_table[./net/ipv4/fib_frontend.c]. What
happens to these pointers when a route gets deleted,
added or flushed. What is the significance of these
pointers.

I am basically trying to clone the linux's routing
table. I would like to have a copy of routing table
whenever the main routing table is updated. I couldn't
find enough documentation about the local and main
table pointers.

Any one having this information, please send it to me.
Thanks in advance.
Srinivas.
