All, I am in the process of putting together a presentation advocating linux+netfilter as a replacement for our aging firewall setup. I am looking for documents, case studies, benchmarks, comparisons, and any other information on netfilter's performance and viability as a transparent bridging firewall for a mission-critical redundant network. I have been googling for the past few days and am unable to find the right information. I am also considering openbsd or freebsd though I am not as experienced with pf as I am with netfilter.
