Hi, Patch-o-matic comes from patch and automatic (huhu ^_^). There are a lot of functionnalities added to netfilter that aren't in the vanilla kernel. But you can patch your kernel in order to use them. Patch-o-matic is a script that let you select functionnalities you want (like new targets, new matches) and patches your kernel.
