i downloaded the latest smplayer  0.6.9-1~lucid1 maybe i could compile a new
version.
but i think that the problem is as i said that lucid is using an old version
of mplayer a version called svn r1.

why that is i don't know maybe a compiled version of smplayer
would be able to work with the new compiled svn of mplayer i should try to
check it now it sound like a good idea.:)
