Hello, I have still the same (unsolved) problem as Paul had in his post "Possible bug with QuickTime streaming" sent Thu Oct 29 04:17:17 CET 2009 If you want to stream audio-mp3-files with a apple darwin streaming server you have to create a .mov-file for the streaming server. This can be done on two ways: you can create one large file, which contains mp3 and the streaming information data. Or you can let the mp3-file untouched. Then you have only to create a small .mov-control-file for streaming with a reference to mp3. This works with apple quicktime on windows without any problems. If I try to play these files on mplayer, I always get this errors: xy at xxx:/home/kram$ mplayer rtsp://xxxx:8000/xxxx/A-1693.mov MPlayer SVN-r30233-snapshot-4.4.2 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team Playing rtsp://xxxxx:8000/xxxx/A-1693.mov. Connecting to server 192.2.2.131[192.2.2.131]: 8000... rtsp_session: unsupported RTSP server. (End of file) If I use a .mov file which contains control-infos and mp3 it also works. But many servers use the separated solution. So: How can I compile mplayer to play only-.mov-control-file with reference to mp3?
