Hello list, sorry if this have been covered before,
I cant find a way to compile mplayer (svn distrib) with --enable-xvid,
or/and --enable-x264, on a mac intel (mac osx 10.5.8).
Here is the beginning of the output from make:
Undefined symbols:
"_xvid_global", referenced from:
_init in vd_xvid4.o
_init in vd_xvid4.o
_ff_xvid_encode_init in libavcodec.a(libxvidff.o)
... ...etc... ...
ld: symbol(s) not found
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [mplayer] Error 1
I've downloaded and successfully installed xvid an x264, with
success, apparentely...
i'v got:
/usr/local/include/xvid.h
/usr/local/lib/libxvidcore.4.dylib
/usr/local/lib/libxvidcore.a
/usr/local/bin/x264
/usr/local/include/x264.h
/usr/local/lib/libx264.a
/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/x264.pc
on my machine
