I have the same code running on 3 servers. One is a
Fedora Core 7 32-bit physical server. One is a Centos 5.4 32-bit VM. The last
one is a Fedora 12 64-bit VM on the same server as #2. All hardware is pretty
much the same with regards to ram, disk performance and CPU speed and cores. When
I run this one specific process, the centos box hits 100% cpu utilization and
sits there for 5 minutes before completing. The other 2 servers complete the
task in 1 minute. I need to get that #2 box running like the others. Any
suggestions on how to track this issue down? Here is some basic info: [root@www html]# cat /etc/redhat-release CentOS release 5.4 (Final) [root@www html]# uname -a Linux www.nowhere.com 2.6.18-164.6.1.el5PAE #1 SMP Tue Nov 3
16:55:59 EST 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux [root@www ~]# rpm -q php httpd cpp gcc gcc-c++ php-5.1.6-23.2.el5_3 httpd-2.2.3-31.el5.centos.2 cpp-4.1.2-46.el5_4.1 gcc-4.1.2-46.el5_4.1 gcc-c++-4.1.2-46.el5_4.1 [root@www tmp]# rpm -q php-devel php-devel-5.1.6-23.2.el5_3 ming is version 0.4.2 on all 3 servers Any help is GREATLY appreciated! I have been hitting the
wall on this issue for a month. Clay |
