n900 in Canada (Fido): yes it works

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

For those fellow Canucks who have been wondering if the n900 works in
Canada.

The answer is yes. A Fido SIM card works, but it cannot use the 3G
network. It downgrades to EDGE (2.5 in the screen of the N900).

But it does work. And the OVI maps have Canadian data (at least Victoria
and Vancouver, which I have browsed).
