I thought Mer was the branch started to run Freemantle and Ubuntu Jaunty on N8X0 tablets; http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer Now that netbooks are approaching the $200 mark, there's going to be a lot of competition between them and smartphone and comparable mobile devices at the same price point.
