With a one-line change, a visitor offered a suggestion that it would work with KDE-PIM too, and it apparently does. I see no reason why the syncml plugin couldn't be used. The whole thing can be moved onto the device, too, I know somebody in the GPE camp (can't recall who at the moment) has been working on a gui there, though the command-line sync already works.
