If you want microb to use less memory (but require reloading more pages
when you use back) modify this file:
/usr/lib/microb-engine/greprefs/all.js
Change the number on this line to much smaller one:
pref("browser.sessionhistory.max_entries", 11);
Microb is slower to start than Opera (it's much larger) and uses
more memory than Opera initially, but it would seem to be slightly
more stable and increase its memory usage less besides supporting
more of the web standards. All this is very page specific, Opera
is faster with some pages, microb with others and same can apply
to memory usage too. (and the pages change all the time too,
so it's hard to quantify)

AFAIK no. The good side is that you can use it with thumb.
If you have a lot of stuff installed, I'd recommend to reorganize
the applications menu structure with the controlpanel panels applet.
