I personally use the dselect methodology that was outlined in an earlier 
e-mail.  Since with 2007 and how it restores the /etc/apt/sources.list file 
I'm able to do a re-install back to "normal" with only about 20 minutes of my 
time (+ another 10 or 15 to d/l and install everything)
