I'll see if framebuffer driver has the needed stuff for the patch for X.
Now that X is out there somewhere, I can probably push the patch also
somewhere so that people can try it. But it requires additional field in
structure passed with ioctl() from Xomap to fbdriver and changes for
rotation in fbdriver, and I'm not sure if these have been included.

Not enough push for it, it's not 'required' or perhaps not important
enough. Also at that time, people were pretty busy with just getting
non-rotated stuff to work correctly :-)
