[maemo-users] WLAN: WPA-PSK

Hi,
the answers I got regarding my last question encourage me to try this
one, which I tried before at [1] and at the DLink support Forum:

I have a DLink DI-514 (802.11b) which came bundled with my Nokia 770.
Using WEP, everything works fine, no problem at all.

WPA-PSK seems to work fine, too, but only at first. I do _not_ suffer
from the "dropped connection"-problems (famous Bug# 329).
But: Once the connection is closed (because I go offline manually, shut
down or for whatever reason), it cannot be re-established. The "W"
blinks forever but the device doesnt seem to be able to fully connect to
the router.

The only workaround (?not really?) so far: Reset the router (yes, _not_
the 770!). Doing anything with the 770 (shut down, try
offline/online/offline etc.) wont work. Still, I'm pretty sure it's a
problem with the 770, because other people have similiar issues with
different routers (see [2]).

My question:
Is this basically the WLAN-problem described in Bug #329 and should I
sit and wait until some software update might eventually fix it?
Or does this sound like something different that might not be solved
even when bug#329 is closed?
And, finally: My router has a set of options I dont know anything about,
like Beacon interval, RTS Threshold, Fragmentation, DTIM interval, Basic
Rates, TX Rates, Preamble Type... Does any of these things sound like
it could improve my situation? I really _dont_ want to revert to WEP.

Thank you,

Oskar
