No, no... The case is not like this. There is no such overlapping here. I created my volume group during RH8 installation. After that I manually created /dev/sdb4 and within /dev/sbd5 with fdisk. And when I change the type of /dev/sbd5 to 8e in order to be able to run pvcreate ot it and to add it to my volume groups - the systems hangs during kernel loading.
