Hi, Guenter Roeck said the following: > Search for "Intel, AMD to Continue Raising Chip Core Count". > Intel talks about up to 10 cores per chip, AMD aboud up to 16. > Current limit is 8 cores for Intel, and 12 for AMD. > > To be halfway safe, 16 should be good enough for the next couple of years. > I'm not really sure, but is your discussion INTEL/AMD only? If not, sorry to disturb your ideal world, but currently there is a MIPS based eval board on my desk with 16 cores. It is typically used in networks. So you are already at the limit with your proposal. -- Just my 2 Cents, Michael Lawnick _______________________________________________ lm-sensors mailing list lm-sensors@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.lm-sensors.org/mailman/listinfo/lm-sensors
