Stuck on UQ startup page

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

My Japanese isn't good enough, and I doubt the tech support would be
very accommodating even if it were. So instead,a I reported on the
other thread, I got a working Internet connection through UQ by
running a Windows XP guest in VirtualBox. I got to the UQ startup
page, and after easing various security settings the "credential"
writing went through. (Obviously I'm glossing over some steps here.)

After looking at the file dates in the Windows driver directory,
WiMAX_DB.bin did not change after this success. Instead, a 154-byte
binary file was written containing random bits, and the OM tree was
modified. In this tree, in a "DMAcc" block for UQ, there is a
sub-block with the following fields:

AAuthName = <my mac address>
AAuthSecret = <some random text>
AAuthData = <more random text>
AAuthLevel = CLCRED
AAuthType = HMAC

There is a similar sub-block with AAuthLevel = SRVCRED.

Anything I can do with this in the Linux WiMAX stack?

Thank you for your continuing help.
