Been there done that, hence the kernel you are running.  Please try
RHEL-6.2, that has a slew of fixes (up to 3.1) and might address your
problem.  Also feel free to open a bugzilla at bugzilla.redhat.com and cc
me.  This mailing list does not have any idea what the usb stack looks
like for RHEL-6 (though I try to keep usb3 fairly close to upstream).
