Hi Oliver,
it does not go into suspend mode with this patch. I think it should
switch after 2 seconds of inactivity, but it doesn't - even when
disconnected from PPP. The value in active_duration is still counting.

root@meda:~# cat /sys/bus/usb/devices/2-2/power/autosuspend
2
root@meda:~# cat /sys/bus/usb/devices/2-2/power/control
auto
root@meda:~# grep USB_SUSPEND /boot/config-3.0.0-rc6
CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND=y

Feel free to send another patches and I will test them.
