Well, of course not. I would also offer my help doing it. However, I'd like to have it as a separate package in parallel, while the updated usbutils makes its way into the distributions, because I need to integrate it with another tool [1], aimed at end-users. BTW, maybe it would need renaming to have a "usb" prefix?
