USB Gadget MDLM/Safe

Hi,

I am trying to configure MDLM/SAFE for kernel 2.6.31 on a Gumstix Verdex.

The Linux to Gumstix connects with no problem however Windows(MCCI Driver) to Gumstix does not.

There is no iMACAdress in GetDescriptor String 4 for the Windows driver to pickup
lsusb -v exposes the iMACAddress as:
iMacAddress 4 6638C00E8AB6
However this may come too late??
Also it seems that the ethernet address which is dynamically created may ignore the requirement that bit zero of the first octet of any Ethernet address associated with a SAFE Networking Function must always be zero

bDeviceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class
This should be Communication class

iConfiguration 0
Maybe this should be somthing?

I have a working 2.6.18 driver for MDLM/SAFE however the patches applied to this driver were the basis of the future SAFE drivers but a couple of things have been lost on the way.

Advice on how to patch 2.6.31 to get this functionality back in an elegant way would be appreciated

Thanks
