[PATCH] option: let cdc-acm handle Sony Ericsson F3507g / Dell 5530

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

The generic cdc-acm driver is now the best one to handle Sony Ericsson
F3507g-based devices (which the Dell 5530 is a rebrand of), now that all
the pieces are in place (ie, cac477e8f1038c41b6f29d3161ce351462ef3df7).
Removing the IDs from option allows cdc-acm to handle the device.

We may have some of the problems we had (when I erroneously added the
Pantech cdc-acm card to the Option driver) a few months ago, where
people were for some reason depending on static HAL
usb.interface.number/serial.port values and the tty device name. But in
this case where finally all the pieces are in place, we should let
cdc-acm handle it.
