You can probe for it via AT command, same as every other GSM capability,
but the implementation details are not discoverable. Unfortunately.

The multiplex standard (I can look up the ETSI number if necessary)
contains packets such as "open a channel of type T with id I", but
firmware documentation may state "this packet is ignored/ACKed" and, if
so, will only support static channels with hardcoded id->type mapping.
