Second /dev/ttyACM not recognized

Hello while looking into the USB Specs and Kernel 2.6.28 sources, I am
puzzeling arround WHY the Kernel 2cdc_acm" does not recognize more then
one Device.

I have a Nokia 6120 classic which I use to access the Internet over
HSDPA and it just works...

The same for a GSM/UMTS/HSDPA module bought in China and the same result
with my (based on chips frm Maxim Integrated Devices and an Atmel Micro)

So is this a limitation of the Kernel?

My own device is supposed to offer two channels (modems):

1) standard:	Voice, SMS, GPRS, EDGE
2) umts:	Viseo-Telephony, MMS, Internet

and all three devices can use this functions in parallel. Also the
Nokia and the GSM Module offer the cabled Hand-Free functions.

So the question is: WHY does the Kernel do not detect the two ACM modems?

Note: I have the need for parallel usage since I want to include
it into my "Outdoor HandBag TablePC" and my "GSM Router".

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
