Ok, the "rt75" in the kernel name suggests to me that this is a 64-bit
kernel with the no preemption patches. However, the
"3.2.54-140211-rt75 (i686)" in the dkms errors suggests to me you're
running on a 32-bit system. Looking at
/var/lib/dkms/nvidia/304.88/build/make.log and at
/var/lib/dkms/blcr/0.8.5/build/make.log would explain exactly what
went wrong there. If this is in fact a 64-bit kernel, and if you are
in fact running a 32-bit system, then remove that kernel, and get one
for 32-bit systems. If I'm wrong on that, then looking at the make.log
files would explain the module build problems.

If you don't have lvm, don't worry about it. If you do have lvm, then
update-grub is warning you it can't make sense of one or more logical
volumes.

Ok, so you do have lvm, and your currently running kernel is 32-bit. The first thing I would do is to make sure
you're installing a 32-bit kernel. If you do have a 64-bit system,
then you currently seem to have 32-bit userland, so you need a 32-bit kernel.
