Hi Greg, Is speakup being loaded with the "quiet" module parameter? If so, try loading the module without it. If the crash goes away when the parameter is removed, then you're dealing with a known bug that was fixed over a year ago, and the patch just hasn't made it into your kernel yet. -- Chris
