Hi guys, I'm running talking arch on an HP DM1Z laptop. I can boot the distro, but don't have any speech output. Fortunately, I can get braille to work using brltty. What I discovered is that the card I need is card 1 whereas the default is assigned to card 0. I'm going to build a simple .asoundrc to switch the default card assignment. Any other ideas appreciated. Chris
