I don't follow your logic, Tyler. How do you believe Intel comes to classify one Kentsfield 6600 quad-core CPU as 2.6G, and the next one as 2.4G. What is the process, as you conceive it? Here are a dozen CPUs, fresh off the assembly line. What happens? Do they throw them up in the air to see which bin they fall into?
