These days, you typically have a jumper for clearing cmos, and maybe 1-2 more for setting some other things. However, cpu speed and such are set in the bios menus these days, and there are a few boards that auto-detect the cpu settings, so you can't over-clock on those even if you wanted to, which I personally don't recommend doing for a couple of reasons anyway.
