-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I stand to be corrected, but I believe the cable that fs provides is a straight-through cable. Appendix c of the bns2000 manual states that the bns is a dce device. A pc is a dte device, as far as I know. So, if you want to connect the bns to a pc to serve as a synth, you don't need a null modem adapter. In fact, I have my bns connected to my pc right now, and I'm certainly not using a null modem cable to do so, which means that the cable fs provides is already made as a null modem, to interface to the pc, or that it is a straight-through cable. As for your local computer store having these, I asked at compusa about 3 years ago if they had the old din connector style mac cables, and they said they stopped carrying those a while ago, so good luck finding one locally. You could of course still buy 1 from FS: https://sales.freedomscientific.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=700004-001 . Hth.
