When the ISO boots, there is a screen with three choices. The second one is "boot from CD/DVD" and that's the one you get to by pressing the down arrow. The tab and space get you to the end of that line so you can add "speakup_synth=xxx and press enter to bring up the talking install. Since you want a telnet install, you don't have to put the speakup_synth=xxx on the line as a boot option but you do still have to do the down arrow, tab, press space, then put the desired options, such as "telnet" (see the howto for full details). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zachary Kline" <Z_kline@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Speakup is a screen review system for Linux." <speakup at braille.uwo.ca> Sent: Saturday, July 28, 2007 10:19 PM Subject: Fedora Telnet install? Hiya, I have decided to go the route of installing FC7 via Telnet. However, there is a single point in the instructions which I find somewhat vague. The speakupmodified.org site states that I should follow the instructions up to the point where I type at the boot prompt. Does this include down arrowing and hitting tab and space? What, exactly, do these keystrokes do? Thanks much in advance, Zack. _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup at braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
