-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have installed Debian Sarge on a legacy HP box using the speakup-modified net-install CD, and am running the 2.4.27 kernel. The only available support for the on-board sound interface is a driver for the Rockwell RIPTIDE sound interface, which requires the 2.4.27 kernel. But it is a module that needs to be compiled, and the compilation dies when it cannot find the kernel source tree. I have installed the kernel headers package for the 2.4.27-2-speakup kernel that is running, and linked it to /lib/modules/2.4.27-2-speakup/build as well as to /usr/src/linux, but that did not fool the compilation step for a minute. Where can I find the source tree for the kernel I am using? Or lacking that, what else can I use in place of it, so that the module will compile? Hope someone has some ideas. I have used mine all up!
